transport unit

Hi everyone
We are investigating "transport" this term. Any ideas or units of work or websites that you can direct me to would be gratefully appreciated! I especially am interested in art ideas with the theme transport. Whether it be flying, motor vehicles, wheels, boats etc. Thanks for your help.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. Big thanks especially for the lovely ladies that forwarded their units of work to me. Love this caring, sharing community. It was also interesting to see how different people plan in different states.

I have yet to do a transport theme - but I would be mindful to add modes like rickshaw, etc as we are one world

I am happy to send anyone a Transport unit I wrote for Year Two. I wrote it as part of a Masters degree in gifted education so it is fully differentiated for Core, lower ability and high ability kids.
Please contact Donna - and type in - 'Transport Unit - Katie' in the comment box.

Donna will pass your details on to me.

I did a unit a couple of yrs ago - we did big land sea and air posters. We also looked at imaginary transport eg flying unicorns or the bed from bedknobs and broomsticks. They were grade 1 so for art they combined a real and an imaginery form of transport and drew it, then made models out of coloured foam.

  • I was just thinking the other day that I needed some matching cards for numbers over 100 then today I came across the new parts of speech posters and thought I\'d check out the \"What\'s New\" section and there I found exactly what I had been wanting. Thank you so much for your wonderful resources. This is the first place I check when looking for resources and I\'ve been able to build a great collection since moving to the lower school grades last year. Thanks again!
