Teaching Ideas - 'Fill in the Missing Numbers' boards

by Simone
(Bribie Island)

Your 'Fill in the Missing Numbers' boards are ideal for a variety of games (e.g. maths bingo and guess the number) and activities (counting on, counting back, counting in twos, fives and tens etc) as well as using them to reinforce order of numbers and how to write them.

I love the boards and would dearly love a '100's' board printable as well.

Thanks for your great resources.

'100's' board easy to make
by: Trish

I have made 'fill the missing numbers' from a 100's board by white-outing some of the numbers, photocopying the sheet, and then laminating the sheet so children can use whiteboard markers to 'fill the gaps'.

Another '100's' board idea is to laminate the board and cut it into jigsaw pieces - the children love putting the pieces back together, and you can make the pieces as large or small as you like to suit the abilities of your children. They get very quick at this activity as they build up their concept of numbers 'before' and 'after'.
