Sticker Book and Magic Dice
Submitted by Tania Hopkins (11-10-2012)
Each child has a sticker book (an exercise book cut in half).
When the child receives 10 stickers for positive behaviour they are able to roll the Magic Dice.
Each number on the Dice corresponds to a reward. Some of my rewards are $1.00 for the canteen, pick a prize from prize box, messenger for the day, sit at the teacher's desk.
I have a year one class and the children love it! It also teaches them to count and even count in tens.
It has proven to be excellent for positive reinforcement and the children proudly keep the books under their desk and get to take them home at the end of the year.

What others are saying...
This is a good idea. I have a Year 3 class and am wondering if anyone has a positive reinforcement strategy they use for this age group. I would really appreciate some ideas.
Hi sounds like a good idea. But I was just wondering, do you go broke with all these rewards? Does your school give you a certain budget for things like this?
