Reduce Reuse Recycle Theme Words - Ideas for Use...
- IMMERSE YOUR CHILDREN IN WORDS...
- GENERAL IDEAS FOR STORING AND USING THEME WORD CARDS
- Use these words for reference with our Reduce Reuse Recycle Concept Book...
- Classify the word cards into Reduce Reuse Recycle headings.
- Children find these words and concepts within the 'Reduce Recycle Reuse' Poem
- Children cut out pictures from magazines and play the Recycling relay game. Children form teams - each team member has 2 pictures. At the front of the team there are 3 buckets labelled 'Compost', 'Rubbish', 'Recycling'. In relay style each child runs to the buckets with their picture and places it in the correct bucket until all pictures have been placed - first team to sit down wins...
- Children use these cut out pictures to form a reduce reuse recycle montage.
- Brainstorm more reduce reuse recycle words to add to the list.
- These words are particularly good for clapping out syllables - there are a few long ones which are great for rhythm and syllable practise. Again, there are lots of phonics opportunities for loads of 'word play.
- You can make these words smaller size by using the reduction settings on your printer and just printing off black and white copies, these smaller sizes are great for cut and paste activities.
- When not being used on a wall display, place them in labelled boxes, or hanging pockets for continued use and reference.
- All the activities from '101 Fun Flashcard Activities' are fantastic with these Math Words ...... (DON'T FORGET TO UTILIZE THIS TERRIFIC RESOURCE EVERYDAY)
