Reciprocal Writing v Interactive Writing
In NSW we wouldn't call your article "interactive" writing..we'd call it RECIPROCAL writing. Interactive writing is seen as quite a bit different and is promoted by the Reading Recovery arm of literacy education.
When I get a chance after writing all my reports and finalising our concert, I'll outline in detail what INTERACTIVE writing really is i.e when teacher and child(ren)create a jointly constructed written text TOGETHER.
It's very popular and powerful in NSW Kinder classes. We do it every day! So many facets of writing covered by this process. Kids love it. Cheers. Val W
