Reading.... Is Rocket Science

I have been rather busy this year with school and reading is our main focus.

I often like to research sites on the Internet and found a great article that literally stated how reading 'is rocket science'!

I like that analogy because I think teaching children to read IS HARD, but I also believe it takes someone who knows what they are doing to teach reading.

The funny thing is that at Uni, we were told what to teach but not HOW to teach it.

How we learn to teach reading, sets the scene for our success as 'reading' teachers..... food for thought here!
