Possum Magics Food Tour of Australia

With my K-1 class I would read the big book by Mem Fox and then each week we would discuss about the town that Hush and Grandma Poss would visit and then make the food that they ate like Pavlova in Perth and Pumpkin Scones in Brisbane.

We would also create drawings and writing experiences for the older kids.

Have a display up and add recipes and pictures of the icons in the place like the Sydney Harbour Bridge around a map of Australia and then "stamp" each place as you visit it.
