Multiple Subject or Grade Level Storage Solution
by Kelly

This was my first year teaching K-5 Visual Arts.
Previously I taught in the high school and was on the block schedule (3-4 classes a day with a block of planning). My high schoolers were self sufficient.
This year I tried a bunch of different organization methods but this one really worked for classes that were back to back with little transition time.
At the local walmart / kmart I found a closet rack (similar to the ones K-3's use for flip chart holders) and found 3 cloth shoe holders with the velcro attachment at the top. I just snapped them in place and made labels from sentence strips. And it rolls!
Worked great for in-progress work, student storage, but would be great for turning in multiple subject assignments.
And the cool thing is the end of the year when we have to pack everything up the shoe holders fold back up and the closet rack breaks down.
Hope this helps!
