Mother's Day Ideas
by: Cassie

We made our Mums a Mothers Survival bag. While the idea came from a web site I found we adapted it and collected various items. We explained the idea to the class then had them give everything a reason for being in the bag in kid speak. It went over really well with the Mums. Here are some of the items we included:

marbles: for when you lose yours
magic wand: because Mums are magic
smarties: because Mums are smart
tissues: to dry your tears and mine
paper clip: because you know how to hold everything together
rubber band: to remind you to be flexible
wiggly eyes: for eyes in the back of your head
a chocolate heart: because we love you
confetti: because you are the best mum ever ( we threw some confetti in the air as we explained the bags to or mums.)

We put all the goodies in the bag, tied up with a ribbon, with a tag that explained it and gave it to the Mums after the whole group presented all the items at our Mother's Day Cafe.
