digital immigrant creates photostory!

I just used Photostory 3 with my class for the first time. After a visit from an Indigenous group the children did some painting inspired by the symbols they had seen and the dreaming stories they had heard.

I asked them to write a description of their paintings as our grammar focus that week was adjectives. We then typed our descriptions using word on the computer.

I scanned their pictures into photostory and then each child did a voice over about their picture using a cheap microphone attached to my laptop. They got to choose the transition between their painting slide and the next and were thrilled to bits to hear back their own voices!
