Classroom Decorating Ideas

Hi
I have been using pictures from old calendars for years. There have been some terrific ones from the $2 dollar shops and after the initial burst of New Year is over shops often discount the calendars.

Just cut out the pictures and laminate them for great classroom decorations and theme pictures.

Another great tip is to use bright wrapping paper to cut out shapes such as hearts, flowers, letters, numbers, stars, 2d shapes, - laminate them for fantastic bright classroom decorations and bulletin boards.

Here are a few I have collected over the years. The really bright smiley face, bees, bear and crown was from a $2 calendar I picked up at the cheap shops.

There are also so really really cheap bright themed wrapping out there - not only good for covering bulletin boards - but cut shapes and letters out with them also.

So keep an eye out for those calendars in the shops there are heaps of themed calendars around.

Cheers

How to make things stick!
by: Anonymous

I had exactly the same problem with posters and pictures not sticking for more than a couple of weeks. I have started using velcro dots or squares and they work really well. Maybe there is something different about the adhesive on them, and it is also really easy to take them off the wall if you need them (my individual sound cards are velcroed onto the wall and I take them off all the time). A lot of the teachers at my school use it (which is where I got the idea), and have heard nothing about issues with paint either. Hope that helps :)

Posters

How do you get your posters to stick on the wall and not fall off. I have tried blue tack. This lasts for a couple of weeks then the poster falls off the wall. The same with sticky tape and double sided tape.
