QLD Beginners Font PDF Vict / WA / NT Font PDF NSW Foundation Font PDF SA Beginners Font PDF TAS Font PDF US D'Nealian Font PDF US Zaner-Bloser Font PDF Regular Sassoon Font PDF Comic Sans Font PDF         Christmas Words Included........   Christmas Santa Claus Father Merry bells sleigh Noel stockings  decorations presents gifts cards Jesus angels Christ  Rudolph nativity star peace carols pageant North Pole giving elves celebrate love family friends candles toys  chimney greetings  crackers party turkey ribbon plum pudding cake donkey Bethlehem lights tree baby shepherds wise men manger Mary Joseph reindeer holly   Christmas Printables - Ideas for Use   Use the words for examples of phonics Match with Phonics Cards 'ee' reindeer, greetings, tree  'y' turkey, donkey, Mary, holly, party, chimney, family, Merry, nativity 'ar' cards, star, party  'ing' greetings, pudding, giving, stockings   There are heaps of phonics opportunities with these words....play around with them - what patterns can the children find.   You can make these words smaller size by using the reduction settings on your printer and just printing off black and white copies, these smaller sizes are great for cut and paste activities such as cutting out the words and pasting them in alphabetical order.   Use these smaller words to 'make sentences' - older children could make up sentences by gluing these smaller words into their books and writing in any extra words needed - kiddies love doing this....draw a picture to go with the sentence....   Use these words (either smaller words for gluing, or as a reference for their own writing) with the concept book - 'It must be Christmas'.   Print out the bright full copies, glue them onto colourful backing card - laminate and make a Christmas wall display.  These are then ready for children to refer to during Christmas writing sessions.   Make a Christmas Alphabet Book using the template from 'My Alphabet Book' - children place a Christmas word on each page.   All the activities from '101 Ways to Use Word Cards' are fantastic with these words..(FAVOURITE RESOURCE!)   Make up a second set of cards, cut the picture section off using a zigzag / curve cut like a jigsaw (you can even cut through the word to make it more of a challenge)  Children then match the 2 pieces.   Children copy the words onto paper Christmas decorations - hang them on your class Christmas tree.   Find matching words in other books or charts - eg. find the matching words in our song charts - 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer',  and '12 Days of Christmas'.   More Classroom Themes More Christmas Printables..... 12 Days of Christmas     Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Christmas Concept Book    Site Index  /  Contribute Your Ideas Teacher Resources Search   /   Home Page              Online Education Program Directory
