Christmas Angel

We are making a Christmas centrepiece for our families in Pre-Primary. Fill up a small plastic bottle with sand. Seal the lid with masking tape. Using plaster bandages cover child's hand and remove, cut plaster hand in half to make wings. Place styrofoam ball on top of bottle with glue gun.
Cover bottle with white tissue paper dipped in wall paper glue. Make sure the children squeeze out the glue.
Keep to dry in the sun.
Hot glue gun the plaster hands onto the back of the bottle as the wings
Decorate the bottle with stars and glittery things. Add wool to the head for hair and a halo made out of silver pipe cleaners.
Add googly eyes and a little blush to the cheeks, draw lips with textas and a pom pom as the tiny little nose glued on.
This is quite a long project for the children but they enjoy the progression.
They look lovely and can be used as a door stop after Christmas.
