Calendar Maths

Over the year we do calendar art pictures depicting seasons, celebrations and themes etc on A4 paper.

This is stuck onto the top of an A3 page. Below we stick a month template where we print in pencil the days of each month, being careful to start and end on the right day. When this is checked the children go over the pencil with fine line markers. Each month is then numbered twice so each child gets plenty of practise writing numbers and reversals etc can be corrected.

The children also get to see how one month runs over into the other. We print the days and months on our calendars and decorate. These take a bit of work but make a fabulous Christmas present.
