The first year of teaching can be a wonderful (busy) experience.
I was fortunate to have a wonderful teaching mentor for my first year.
Initially, I basically aligned my program with hers.
As I felt more comfortable with my own teaching, and grew in confidence, I was able to begin to
express my own 'teaching style'. It is really important to
observe and ask questions. Please don't expect perfection particularly in your first year out.
Growth comes from being brave enough to try new things, throw out those that didn't work and move on and up with the ones that did.....
