Hello once again, and a warm Welcome to our New Members. We have had a wonderful start to August with loads of new members. I do endeavour to keep adding new ideas and I try to load unique resources that are not available on other download sites. Please keep your suggestions coming in. I would like to thank you all for your patience during this start up phase also. As those of you who have been with me since day dot, I started all this selling individual files on ebay for about $3.50 each. It occurred to me that this was rather cumbersome for me and rather expensive for my customers. And so K-3TeacherResources.com came about. Less cost for you, and a little easier for me to manage. It has been a huge learning curve for me (especially with 2 little 'munchkins' running around). But we are slowly getting there and the results have been very pleasing for everyone. Please look forward to a fantastic future full of more ideas and fun.... In 1 month's time our membership price will rise to $19.95 per year. This was the original intention, as we grow out of the start up phase. Please let your friends and colleagues know now so that they can get the $16 price locked in for the year. Teaching Tip Time... New Tip No. 1 - Use Concept Books for Homework... Just had a terrific idea come in for the use of our 'Concept Books'. One of our Members has used them in the past as homework projects. A fantastic idea. You could send one home at the beginning of the week, and ask the children to have it finished to bring back and share for Friday. A great way to produce some wonderful new and fresh ways of completing the Concept Books and the sharing time with them all would be really beneficial, and fun for all. Thanks for this great idea.... New Tip No. 2 - 'The Ned Show' I just have to share this concept. Last week, 'The Ned Show' came to my son's school at Ormiston, Queensland, Australia. I have never come across this show before and I must admit, I had my reservations. To say the very least, I was totally blown away by the whole show, it was truly amazing. Our US Members have probably heard about the show as it is based in the US, but they must travel regularly. The whole show is based around the concept of being Champions in life. They integrate fun stories about the character NED and yo-yo tricks to get the message across. The acronym NED is used, standing for 'Never Give Up', 'Encourage Others', 'Do Your Best'. Tim, the star of our show, worked the children brilliantly. He had their full attention and the NED concept was reinforced in a totally unforgettable and educationally sound way. By the end of the show, I am sure each and every child was determined to Never Give Up, Encourage Others and Do Their Best. And you know what SO AM I....... It was just beautiful to watch... If you get the chance to have them come to your school, please encourage it, as it is really worthwhile. *Ideal for learning ordinal numbers and for use with 'Months of Year' Cards and 'Days of Week' cards to make up a Calendar. I used to write on the Blackboard or Paper Chart each day. 'Today is ____________, the____ of______________. The children would pop in the correct cards. **Numeral Expander Template

Alphabet Resources
**Missing Alphabet Cards (14 diff combination cards)
  *I used to copy these 14 different combinations onto different coloured cardex and then laminate it. The children then used these during literacy groups or early finishers using whiteboard markers to fill in the missing letters. Could also be used as a separate individual activity sheet.
